We mounted an acquisition of Vanwall
Vanwall is one of motorsport’s most un-celebrated, niche brands. The Vanwall story is possibly the first David and Goliath tale of motorsport, when the founder of an independent British engineering firm was spurned by Ferrari in a business deal, then took them on in competition, and won.
Famed for offering the late Sir Stirling Moss his first ever Grand Prix win, “the little green cars” became a 50’s Grand Prix icon, and were cemented in the memories of many young lads of the era via posters and model cars.
Since the demise and sale of the engineering company, the global trademarks for the racing brand have resided with a private party. We assembled a conglomerate of senior automotive executives from F1 teams, McLaren and Rolls-Royce, and led the design and development of a monoposto electric supercar.
A global trademark dispute halted the acquisition of the trademarks and halted the project, however all parties remain in contact, so watch this space.
